From 2pm on the 1st of May 2010 the Nightcliff Foreshore launches the 2010 Nightcliff Seabreeze Festival week with a huge day of activities and fun for everyone!
With a focus on Art, Music and Culture in our local community, the festival features hands on art workshops, live dance performances, demonstrations and and circus style acts as well as live performances by some of the most talented music schools and biggest name bands in Darwin.
With 9 separate activity areas along with more than 100 live performers, over 30 food and novelty stalls, cash prize competitions for all age groups and a Grand Parade, This year’s festival has something for everyone.
New additions in 2010 include an entire section of the festival devoted to Youth. The Youth Precinct is independently run, organized and presented by local youth and performers and showcases just how much talent and professionalism these guys have to offer.
NAMC Inc are delighted to support the development of a Community Village at this years festival, themed Simple Living, this village will allow a relaxed environment for community groups to engage with festival goers and includes information stalls, demonstrations, a clothes swap, library reading time and a host of activities to showcase what the community of Nightcliff have to offer each other. A surprise performance by Bentley and Dora, the Singing Basset Hounds later in the afternoon is sure to delight.
